Growing up in Philadelphia, the Desiato three had not always been a tight knit group. Nick, the oldest, was always involved in his own musical endeavors, while Luke and Geoff were part of a group called Rainy Day Theory. RDT consisted of Geoff on guitar, Luke on Drums, George Gaston on bass and Nic Billman on lead vocals. Lead singer Nic Billman soon found a wife and Rainy Day Theory was no more. After a short down time, Geoff, Luke and George decided to start "The No Longer" in January of 2002. After playing a couple of shows, George Gaston, one of the founding members, left for Bible College in York, England in Fall 2002. With a giant void to fill, Luke and Geoff turned to oldest brother Nick to fill the shoes of George.

In the late fall of 2002, The No Longer self-produced their first CD. Enjoyed by friends and strangers, The No Longer developed a small but loyal fan base. In late 2003, The No Longer began writing and recording what would be their sophomore release. The fans were chomping at the bit for the new CD and after some mixed reviews concerning the band's musical direction, "Escape From Wormwood" was a success.
In July of 2004, the band took a hiatus to rest, write, re-write, and re-think their approach. In January of 2005, The No Longer began recording their third LP.

Released on February 24th 2006, "FACE WEST" is a project that spans an entire year of growth in the lives of these young men. It chronicles the life of one who is dead in trespasses and sins and is completely hopeless, His encounter with Christ, the pull of the world, the chastisement of a loving Father, the conviction of the Holy Spirit and finally the peace that passes all understanding.

The No Longer is currently wrapping up production on their senior full length project.
