Still Porchinâ is a collection of comedic songs written and sung by David and Michael . The Characters, âLio Safflower (that's "oil" spelled backwards) and Elmo Parsley are fictional friends that like to get together on warm summer nights, sip corn shine lemonade and just play guitar and sing of their respective life experiences. Friends are invited to drop over and set a spell with their instruments and play along.The Earl Cornbread Horns on âDat Woman Wasn't Mineâ is actually Garritan Personal Orchestra horns midi to track.
Guitar and vocals are played in live. All other instruments except for Dave Salamone on harmonica and guitar are "virtual" instruments programmed in by Michael from The Garritan Personal Orchestra Library and Garritan Jazz & Big Band Library of instruments. Snare drum on "Got The Love Bugs" was played live by Michael Salamone using an old Ludwig snare and brushes.
This is a small taste of a complete list of songs being worked on by Dave and Mike targeted for release in October 2007.
