This past fall has been a season of change for this prolific, ambitious, singer-songwriter. With a recent decision to go solo, Scott Normandy has quit his band of 4 years, eradicated all his well established material and has gone for a new approach. âQuitting the band was the hardest decision I have ever had to make- but I knew it had to be done. I never imagined though, that 2 months later Iâd be hereâ. Since the break-up, Normandy has spent most of his time locked in his basement. Not in mourning, but with a new objective: to write soulful, in-depth lyrics with ingenious, sing-along melodies. And thus far he has surpassed even his own expectations, âIâm writing with a new sense of freedom. These songs are about specific experiences that have occurred to me in the last year, their real and honestâ.

With the help of local producer, Derek Ellioston, this Canadian artist has just launched his debut album My Future. My Past. under Montreal indie label Hyperbole Music. Gathering musicians, Adrian Juras (bass), Mike Tuyp (electric guitar) and Allan Campopiano (drums), the album is filled with thought provoking songs that will leave you wanting more.
