Once the front man for the Atlanta based rock band Lansdown Drive, Jerry Walker has gone solo. His guitar-driven, introspective songs show his appreciation for everything from Merle Haggard to The Smiths.
Now based out of Nashville, Tennessee, Jerry, along with long time friend and bass player, Daryl Hilley, has formed Jerry Walker & the Wonderful Liars. Their trademark sound makes them easily recognizable. With Jerryâs signature guitar sound and writing style infused with new wave influences, the band is quickly making its mark on the Nashville music scene.
In 2006, Jerry released his debut album entitled âSongs from the Atticâ. The collection of songs showcased his songwriting talents in every aspect. From the guitar driven tracks of âAnywhereâ to the intimacy of âGoodnight Approximatelyâ, âSongs from the Atticâ pulls you in from the first track. The album has since had an overwhelming response on XM satellite radio.
With an ever growing fan base, both live and via the internet, Jerry Walker and the Wonderful Liars are currently in the studio working on a new album set to be released in the fall of 2007.
