When you see a young man cringe with every note he plays with feeling and one spur on his left boot, that's Cole Fonseca. His shirt full of sweat and playing his heart out to any crowd, big or small. He is all over the stage in a trance as if he was playing for the very last time.

Cole brings nasty slide guitar to his act and his rhythm section "Voodoo Soup": whose sound grooves and shakes the walls with its thick sound. Cole plainly just kicks absolute ass and these guys are not messing around. Starting an old-rooted but new genre of blues, Cole plays slide guitars, harmonica, dobro and just flat out blues-rock guitar. Combine that with his eerily mystifying vocals and you're in for quite a treat. His band sounds like R.L. Burnside and George Thorogood on steroids with a flavor of Jimi Hendrix thrown in for good measure.

Cole has played hundreds of venues in California as well as some in Tennessee. Cole is a voice with an old soul and is definitely haunted by a ghost from yesterday. Playing mostly originals and a little bit of some classic blues. Cole is intense, explosive and a down right dirty player. After his new album he has showed his versatility and style. Straight-up roadhouse swamp delta blues.
