Jessa Young lives in the Rocky Mountains near Aspen, Colorado where she receives much of the inspiration she needs to write her music! Orange Roses, her debut CD, is a collection of empowering, transformative songs.

She is in collaboration with cellist; Kendra Carpenter, bassist; Tim Watkins and drummer; Bill McGreevy. She also collaborates with DJ High Octane, an electronic artist who is based in Denver, CO. She has performed regionally and nationally in venues around the country ranging from coffeeshops to concert halls and music festivals like the X-treme Folk Festival in Philadelphia,PA, Dreamtime in Paonia, CO, and Synergyfest in Las Vegas, NM. Her music has been aired on local, regional and national radio stations around the U.S.

As a child, she studied classical piano and later earned a degree in piano performance, vocal studies and music composition from Utah State University in Logan, Utah. She came to Colorado initially to study music composition with Micahel Cjkowvski (of Julliard; NY, NY) at the Aspen Music Festival and School.

She has channeled her classical background along with various other styles of music she has been influenced by--folk, metal, trance, rock, jazz and Celtic--into her own emerging style.
