When Chris and Kim Lindell started making music together, they spent many long days in the wild lands of Joshua Tree rock, climbing high, playing guitars and writing songs out in the empty desert. They quietly lay their hands on a towering headstone, innocent of the legendary specter of Gram Parsonsâ incendiary farewell, keenly aware of some transmission from beyond, as the dusty windswept monument played a part in shaping their music.
