A great supporting cast of Louisianaâs own, and Louisiana-style musicians, gather to make some great music of Lisaâs 15 rootsy originals in the style of a rockinâ NâOrleans house party with a touch of the blues, R&B, Cajun fiddle tunes, and a dash of her soft and sentimental side. This CD was largely recorded, mixed, and co-produced in Louisiana, by Grammy-nominated Al Berard.
This CD was not made to seek fame or fortune or even to promote Lisa. It was created to put the songs, the lyrics and the music, out into the world. Over 20 great musicians from Louisiana to Vermont, made this possible (See list below). The amount of talent contained in this recording, as you will hear, is absolutely awesome! Some are Grammy nominees, some are incredibly talented unknowns outside of Louisiana and elsewhere. Lisa wrote and sang all the songs, and wrote and played fiddle on the 3 instrumentals. The whole thing took about a year and a half to fully complete. It was truly a labor of love and about love in all its forms including Divine love and human love, and sometimes how they are one and the same. Underlying all is party and passion. May it bring you "joi de vivre", a little laugh in your belly, and a little love in your heart.
