If you are tired of the same old sound Markus J is like a breath of fresh air for the music industry. With his Urban/R&B sound fused with an occasional rap verse or two his music is sure to please the listener. Imagine mixing the sound of a Justin Timberlake or an Usher with the styling of an Eminem minus all the controversy. Markus J has an upbeat positive style that makes the listener feel good about putting on his music.

He started out performing in large gospel venues such as Living Word Bible Church, Desert Springs, Word Alive and other different christian events. Now Markus J performs at local clubs such as the Sets or at radio station The Blaze 1260's Final Friday Fundamentality show held everly last Friday of every month. He also has sang on radio station KKFR Power 98.3 The Nutz in the Morning Show where
DJ Joey Boy commented after hearing Markus J sing "Someone sign him real quick, he is about to put AZ on the map."

Markus J has written, produced and independently recorded six albums ranging from R&B, Hip Hop, Gospel and Pop. Highly acclaimed by anyone that has heard his music including everyday music listeners to his choir teacher and even industry professionals such as A&R consultant Jesse Frye who described Markus J's new independent released album Feature Presentation as "A Thrill Ride of Explosiveness from Beginning to End"

Markus J has also recorded with Mel Luv of Link2Link Entertainment and also local talent such as AARON formerly of NBK (Nasty Boy Klick) from Upstairs Records. He also placed as a Top 5 Finalist in the 2nd annual Freestylin' Music Contest sponsered by Energizer and Myspace.com.

Markus J has a refreshing sound that is all his own. His creative lyrics mixed with catchy hooks and a soulful sound will leave you wanting more.
