Details:
Mike Quinn's first album was on the legendary SUN RECORDS label with the acoustic vocal trio Willis, Carlan and Quinn. "Tin Roof" contained three original songs and seven bluegrass songs remade in a rock-grass style. Roy Clark played with the trio a couple of times in Pensacola, Florida and later put Danny, Karen and Mike on the T.V. show "Hee-Haw". Roy sang and played fiddle with the group on the program. Mike's second album was a self-titled solo album of original songs on Finley Duncan's Emerald Coast Records. Many of the songs reflect life in West Tennessee where Mike grew up. "Bloody Knuckles and Draft Beer" is Mike's third and newest album released in 2007 and includes eight of Mike's originals along with a Bert Colwell song and a Bucky Lindsey song. "Fishin', Fightin', Drinkin' and Dancin' with a couple of love songs thrown in for good measure. One song may be of interest to Veterans. "Pearl Harbor Day" is story of an aging WWII veteran who never came to terms with the loss of so many of his fellow sailors and the battleships that contain them.
