for 2007 newton is back with another collection of new music perspectusamongus. Newton's signature sound is clearly evident throughout, though there are some twists that make the collection distinct from previous offerings.

The vocal sound has an edginess, particularly on opening track part of me and visions, that conveys a yearning unfulfilled. Newton shows off his lead guitar ability best on rhyme into reason.

Perhaps the most intriguing of newton's 14 tracks is no reflection, an upbeat country ditty with a groove and harmonies reminiscent of the Grateful Dead. in fact, several tracks feature a dead-inspired guitar sound that fits nicely with newton's style.

As with all of Newton's previous releases, this CD remains a complete DIY project.
