In 1981 I recorded an album with some friends. Those friends were former members of J D Blackfoot (Mercury Records) and Pure Prairie League, so it came out pretty good. The record started to get airplay all over the Midwest. Some stations played it occasionally, but many had it in their rotation. The record was on 55 stations that I know of.

This was nice but I wasn't making much money. I got a job,raised a family and continued to write songs. My songwriting improved, but I didn't do anything with the songs.

The begining of 2007 brought some serious health problems. I started furiously recording songs, thinking I was going to die. I wanted to leave some good recordings of some of my songs. Thanks to some good doctors and nurses, I'm fine now. The first nine songs are a result of those sessions. The last four were recorded in 1994.

With songwriting influences ranging from Willie Dixon to Billie Joe Shaver I write in different styles of music. The album is more blues influenced than anything else but you'll hear some country and rock. My music is
like the weather in Ohio, if you don't like it wait a few
minutes and it'll change.

What kind of music is this? I don't know. Memphis
meets Austin. Johnny Cash meets Howling Wolf. One friend
just said "I like that kind of music." He didn't know what to call it. Neither do I. Bluntry?
