13 tracks of piano-based original tunes, with an open and honest quality that is almost childlike, invites the listener to connect with the whole experience. Although several influences were drawn upon, Rebecca's music is clearly her own.

Rebeccaâs musical talents began to emerge at the early age of 2 years old when she joined with her mother to sing a duet in church. At age 5 she sang her first solo. Also at that age it was discovered that she could play the piano by ear as she started to play along with her mother as she was practicing her singing. It was decided that piano lessons should begin immediately. By the end of grade school Rebecca was writing songs and performed one of her own songs for a school event in sixth grade. Rebecca continued to pursue the piano for many years to come. Although Rebecca had a desire to be classically trained, during her practice sessions with the piano she tended to ignore the music that was on the page in front of her and started playing the music that was inside of her instead. She didnât enjoy being confined to the notes and the dynamics on the page and tried to make every song her own. This was a little frustrating for her piano teacher, but luckily she worked with Rebecca and was still willing to continue teaching her. In junior high school she joined the show choir and traveled quite a bit to perform in competitions both regionally and out of state. In addition to singing as a part of the choir, she was given opportunities to sing solos. Throughout high school she continued to sing in the show choir, regular choir and also performed solos. During one summer she traveled with a choir that toured parts of the southern and central states.
While in high school her mother was struggling to learn how to play the guitar and Rebecca discovered that with just a little instruction on learning the chords, she was able to play the guitar and was soon singing and writing songs using her motherâs guitar. This lead to singing, playing keys and some guitar in a local rock band and eventually lead her to meet her future husband as both of their bands were playing at an all day music and sports event. It was love at first sight. Caleb was the lead guitar player for the band he was in.
After high school Rebecca and Caleb headed in different directions. Rebecca was off to a college out of state at Greenville, Illinois in pursuit of a Music degree. Caleb was staying local to get his degree in studio engineering from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania. Rebecca continued her singing in college as a soprano 1 in the Jazz Ensemble. She was fortunate to make the cut as a freshman. Her second year she decided to try out for the concert choir as well and was a member of this for the following two years. This provided her more opportunities to hone her singing skills. She also spent time traveling with this group as they traveled and performed around the country. Through out college she would often be found sitting in with other artists or bands, which performed around the area of the school.
After Caleb graduated from Bloomsburg they got married and got a place off of campus at Greenville. They began playing in a local band during Rebecca's senior year and were thinking of staying in the area after her graduation to try to see if they could get somewhere with this band. Eventually they decided to return to Sunbury, PA where Caleb was from. They found a nice old home just out of town. Caleb has been working on converting their garage into a recording studio. Rebecca and Caleb added to their family last year with their first child. Caleb is involved in a successful local rock band, and Rebecca plays out a few times a year at local establishments or events.
The songs that are on this CD have been written by Rebecca over a number of years. Her family and friends had encouraged her to make a CD and when she played out people often asked if she had a CD that they could buy. She and her husband decided to invest in some recording sessions at the Sound Investments Recording Studio in Scranton, PA, where Caleb had interned as a student at Bloomsburg U. All of the guitar and bass guitar tracks on the recording are played by Caleb. The studio helped secure a session drummer, which Caleb knew from college and really admired his drumming ability. The owner of the studio plays the trumpet on Fade Away. After hearing the early cuts, prior to mixing, her parents were interested in helping out financially to get more studio time to complete the CD and also to see that the CD's were manufactured and marketed.
It has been a long road bringing this CD to fruition. Rebecca, Caleb, their family and friends all hope that you will thoroughly enjoy listening to the music.
