As a young boy, Danny Silva-G grew up in a small desert town located in Barstow, California. He and his family lived in a very poor and isolated environment, without running water or electricity. His childhood did not include a whole lot of modern conveniences. But he was happy just listening to rock nâ roll music on the old transistor radio and dreaming of someday being able to sing and play like Elvis Presley.

As a teenager, his family moved to East L.A. where things really started to get rough. Surrounded by gangs, drugs and violence, he started to be influenced by the things around him. His mother, being a single parent, had to take on two jobs just to be able to support him and his sister. Needless to say, he had a lot of close calls with gang related experiences. But it was his love for music that eventually changed his outlook and kept him from turning to that life style.

One day, his love for music took a drastic turn while listening to the radio. He heard a group of young musicians that composed and performed their own songs. He was so elated and inspired that before the song ended, he knew that writing songs and being a musician would be his passion in life. By the way, the name of the group was The Beatles.

As he matured, he became influenced by Jazz, Latin, and Soulful music. He developed a unique style that he calls Jazz-a-pop, which gives him a vehicle to express the message of love, life and spiritual awareness. He has had the opportunity to work and know some great musicians, such as Chic Glenn, Robert Kyle, Linda Cole, Anthony Cole and the late Billy Henderson of the Spinners, just to name a few.
