Voicechanger began as the musical focus of Scot Porter. The project acts as an experiential and experimental process exploring sounds, tones, moods and the like. From 2004 through 2007, Voicechanger diligently worked on 'The Tragedy of Utilitas & Venustas' in the Pacific Northwest. The album itself takes an alternative and eclectic approach towards electronic music and its possibilities. Under the alias, Scot Porter has been able to work collaboratively bringing ideas of Voicechanger into film where he wrote music for the documentary, Dubbed, in 2004. From then on, Scot has worked with numerous artists, bands, and creative producers of sorts. Some artists include Wunderbugg, Kyle Michael Porter, and Mike Grigoni.
