A gun that shoots knives is a real band. they all live and play shows in Seattle, Washington. they rent houses in which they live and some of them are the owners ,or at least part-time caretakers of, pets. they pay their bills and go to work. they are real people. when they play music people stand up and cheer because it is so great. it has been said that a gun that shoots knives is a "great" rock band. sometimes people don't understand why a gun that shoots knives is so great and they stand there and look all dumb or just walk away and look dumb somewhere else. a gun that shoots knives doesn't mind if these people don't like the show, because a gun that shoots knives understands why they are so great: juxtaposition.
juxtaposition is a concept used in art and philosophy, and occasionally, in music. the verb "to juxtpose" means to impose the traits of one thing apon another. like a frog that was all up in the mud on its side milking a bunch of little baby frogs, because it had the traits of a pig imposed upon it. a gun that shoots knives feels that juxtaposition is the basis of all things that are really funny. just think about that big, green, bulgy-eyed piggy-frog with all those little grunting froglet and try not to laugh. that is a gun that shoots knives.
a gun that shoots knives met in bellingham and are really good friends. Lead singer Stubby Abbot has been writing songs since he was 5 and has been in bands since he was 13. his attitude is that the "love song" should be as disregarded an art form as the romance novel. he beleives that songs can and should be about absolutely everything, which is why his first major album was titled "100 things." his songs vary widely from gut-busting to heart-wrenching and all points in between and are commonly accompanied by ass-ripping guitar solos provided by Steve Moffat. Jimmy LaRue, Jeff Greenwood and Kelly Sorbel have all been playing together since they were dumb little kids. they have been in various bands together with their friend Pat Regan including VK and Sheize Geist, which featured Ted Fred. they are awesome and also very attractive. the whole band is attractive, really. they deserve all the loving that one would be inclined to throw their way. Stubby first met the rest of a gun that shoots knives in 2002, when his friend emil moved into a big mansion with them. over the next few years, he slowly hypnotized them into thinking that they wanted to be his band, and in 2004, they practically acted as if it was their idea!
A gun that shoots knives has been together for over two years. they have gone on four tours and in the time that they have been a band they have consumed, colectively, 3,456 burritos. they have released a 19-song album entitled "miracle" which is the light of their lives. they have collected and worn over a dozen wigs of every shade, eight jumpsuits, five false moustaches, one chicken suit, one cow suit, one monkey suit, one horse head, six mexican wrestling masks, several peices of disturbing lycra, twelve 2-dollar thrift store suits, one shredder costume with eleven foot clan henchmen, one jetpack, and one pair of knee-high six-inch tranny boots
