The brainchild of Singer/Songwriter Rob Flores, the Bodega Dragons were formed by him in NYC to promote his songs in 1991. After having been in many bands over a 15 year period, he finally decided to place an ad in the Village Voice newspaper to form a band of his own. After trial and error, he finally decided on Bassist/BU Vocs Alberto Casado, Drummer Dan Silverstone, and Yasuto, an exceptional young oriental guitarist... and the Bodega Dragons were born. Based primarily in east Manhattan, THe Bodega Dragons have played the Village Circuit clubs for years. In 1994, Rob Flores produced their "Unfinished Business" CD at World Studios in lower Manhattan. Their hybrid styled musical sound is best described as Bob Dylan meets AC/DC and Metalica. Many of the "Unfinished Business" CD tracks have both TV, and Film possibilities built into them because of their urban lyrical and performing content. "Stay with me," is their only Rock/pop ballad, but it is a very well crafted, catchy song. "I write about what I know, and about what I have seen during my life...it might not be pop chart/ Hit Music, but I definately have stayed true to myself, and have also kept it very real," stated Rob Flores. Indeed he has. His songs touch on urban city crime, drugs, the plight of the homeless, serial killers, and of the satanic power of evil on our society.
