Playing cigar box guitars and drums, this two-man outfit is tearing through the Dirty South. On the cigar box a fellow name 'a Kirk beats out a mean tune. First and foremost a 5-string banjo picker, you can hear the rolls in his fingerstyle playing. Before the spawning of Buckeye, he would pick, holler, and play the drums with his feet! They were lonely times, what with only one man in the band. And a man ought not have to work that hard. Then, as if Destiny reached out her little hand and thumped him right on the head, Phil "The Menace" came onto the scene and took over the job of beatin' on the cans. In addition to letting Kirks feet rest, it added another amazing element to an already up-and-coming sound. From there things pretty much spiralled out of control and the rest, as they say, is history. So do yourself a favor, buy this CD. You'll thank me later.
