Dynamite 8 hails from the San Francisco California East Bay. Rocking up and down the west coast, this band bleeds for every note. Staying true to their roots, they deliver a live show that is exhilarating and indisputably action-packed. Lead singer JoAnn Gillespie's in-your-face bare all to end all performance reminds her audience why they are music fans. Doug Emerson, Nathan Burkhart, Josh Schmidt, and Danny Kain are four men who deliver an equal dose of intensity; creating a zealous pitch to their set. These five successfully meld elements of punk, metal, power-pop, and math rock into a consistent and refreshing sound. Playing in tight formation, they fire out their infectious songs with true precision.

Some of the band's influences are The Descendents/All, Wretch Like Me, Iron Maiden, The Bronx, Hot Water Music, and Jawbreaker. JoAnn's powerful voice rarely gets reference to other female vocalists, but some of her trademark inflections coincidentally bare resemblance to James Hetfield of Metallica and Glenn Danzig of the Misfits! Doug and Nathan's dueling guitars are always a croud pleaser. Danny's nimble melodic bass lines and Josh's fat drum chops round out the sound, giving you a diabolical concoction known as Dynamite 8.
