Gary L. Coleman has spent 37 years as a percussionist in the studios of L.A. He started in records in 1965 playing on hundreds of albums featuring pop, rock, jazz, classical and experimnetal music. He has played with artists ranging from Marvin Gaye, The Beach Boys, Barry White, Barbra Streisand, Steely Dan, Frank Sinatra, The Mamas and Papas, Stanley Turrentine, Cannonball Adderley, Motown rhythm sections, The Wrecking Crew (with famed drummer Hal Blaine) to legendary composer Harry Partch.
In the mid 70's and 80's, he worked on all of Mike Post's TV series including The Rockford Files, Hill Street Blues, Magnum P.I., The A-Team, LA Law, and many more. During the 90's he worked for feature film composers such as Jerry Goldsmith.

Along the way, he received his Masters in Clinical Psychology and is today a licensed psychotherapist in private practice. Currently, as a part of his nearly 50 year interest in sounds, politics and people, he continues composing and constructing sound pieces and videos COMMENT-ing on these topics.
