Not Made of Stone was recorded, mixed and mastered by Jeff Davis in Lucky Dog Studio in Eugene, Oregon.

The songs on this album are all about confronting limitations -- finding out that your endurance isn't infinite, and that you have a breaking point. Each tune, as it grew in Polly's mind, turned out to be about getting to the limits of endurance, and the aftermath of that moment.
