Rubberband is a Filipino -American rock group formed in Staten Island, New York. The band has been in the music scene in the Five Boroughs of New York City, since 1995.

Band's current line-up:

Gino Inocentes:
Vocals, keyboards, drums, acoustic, electric and bass guitar.

Germaine Lopez:
Drums, acoustic guitar and some vocals.

Warren Daya:
Lead guitar and back-up vocals.

Marc Lamar:
Vocals, guitar and bass.



Highlights:

Year 1997 - The group backed-up Mike Hanopol of Juan De La Cruz band in New York, New Jersey and DC for a year.

Year 1998 - Rubberband was the only Fil-Am band to open for Juan De La Cruz' "PAGBABALIK" reunion concert held at the World Trade Center in Manila, Philippines along with other famous groups- RAZORBACK, TEETH, RIZAL UNDERGROUND and ADVENT CALL.

The same year also when Rubberband's chief songwriter/ vocalist appeared on TV for the first time. Joey "Piyaps" Smith guested on the famous comedy show "MANOY and MOKONG" in which Eddie Garcia and Janno Gibbs where the main actors. Gino Inocentes' part was a back-up guitarist for Pepe.

Year 1999, MIKE HANOPOL and RUBBERBAND headlined the famous "PINOY BANDS 2 Live @ ACME UNDERGROUND, NYC" which was produced by PMI Limited, THE INDIE (Paskie Pascua), MAKABAYAN Collective, Philippine Forum and Jason Baquilod's Party Train Show.

Year 2000, Rubberband rocked Chicago together with SIGNAL 3, KADENA and BROWNODDS.

2005 to Present- Rubberband's founder aka "GOMASOUL" and "The Puppet" produced "small gigs" in NYC and had fellow fil-am bands like Bleud, Daisychain, Mambola, Creeze, Cutterpillows (now,The Moonbugs), P.I., Inu(now The Kuwagos), Qwadra, Hydrant, Madrhymes, Grim Bottle, Sect Of Fate, Ramini, Sona turned Version Four (now, Blue mellon Pop),Third Element, Trickbag, Binky, Jay Legaspi, Kanang Kamay, John-Flor Sisante, Nooka, Nonrev, 85 1/2, The Grudge, Nikwren, Kadena, Basement 31 to play in famous venues like The C-NOTE, TRIBECA ROCK CLUB, THE KNITTING FACTORY, CBGB's(with Kapitan Inggo's help), THE PUSSYCAT LOUNGE and KENNY'S CASTAWAYS(with Chris Callas of URBAN RIOT's help).

MORE IN THE YEAR 2005:


The only Fil-Am band to celebrate a CD release at the Legendary Punk dive CBGB'S, thru the help of Renrick Pascual aka Kapitan Inggo and the management of Edgardo Sunico. Ira Cruz and Bamboo Manalac and their manager, attended the the release party courtesy of HAPPYBOX Productions!

Rubberband opened for pinoy rock group BAMBOO which was held at The Knitting Factory, NYC- produced by HAPPYBOX and co-produced by GOMASOUL.

Rubberband guested on APO HIKING SOCIETY SHOW in TRUMP TAJ MAHAL in Atlantic City (first Fil-Am band to perform in a famous Casino) thru the management of big time entertainment producer Edgardo Sunico of RENSUN ENTERTAINMENT.
