Since it's inception in 1994, Rule of Nines have performed to tens of thousands of people at various concerts, festivals and media events across Canada. Along the way they have garnered numerous accolades in the music industry, including nominations at the 2002 Prairie Music Alliance Awards in Winnipeg ("Angel") and the 2003 Canadian Vibe Awards in Calgary. The band were also finalists and featured at the 2005 CKER Showcase Awards in Edmonton, Alberta. Most recently the band was awarded the Canadian Futures Fest People's Choice Award for 2005 in Edmonton.

The response to their 2001 debut CD "Angel" has been simply overwhelming and has quickly become an independent bestseller. With a style described as âa brand of melodic rock that is reminiscent of the Eaglesâ, Rule of Nines have received tremendous media, radio and television support. Performances have included the Alberta Recording Industry Association Awards in 2001, CTV's âGood Morning Canada' in 2002, a performance at the Canadian Vibe Music Awards in 2003, and most recently a headlining concert at the Closing Ceremonies of the world's largest sporting event â the 2005 World Masters Games in front of over 20,000 people.

Rule of Nines' music has been utilized in many other areas of the entertainment industry as well. Their songs have been featured in everything from drama productions and commercials, to videos and full-length movie productions, including the 2005 release "15 on the Wood", written and directed by John Hollinger.

Along with the band's musical accomplishments, Rule of Nines have been huge supporters of children's organizations such as World Vision and Compassion Canada for many years. Most recently, the song "Angel" â based on a true story â has been chosen as a Canadian Child Find theme song â an honour the band is very proud of.

Their sophomore CD "Another Space and Time", released in January of 2004, has garnered rave reviews and has already surpassed the accomplishments of their debut album. With radio air play across Canada and three full length music videos produced from the album, it has quickly become a fan favorite - described as âsmooth rock with an undeniably addictive eclectic feel.â

In October 2005, to the excitement of the band, the album was nominated for a 2005 Western Canadian Music Alliance Award which saw the band fly down to Vancouver for the awards ceremonies. Other nominees in various categories included Bryan Adams, Sarah McLachlan and Diana Krall. An amazing time was had by all!

With the release of the bands new amazing CD "Chasing Shadows" (the best Rule of Nines album to date according to industry executives and the band alike), as well as concerts and performances booked well into 2008, the band is looking forward to an exciting future ahead!"
