'Under Ground' was perceived mostly while busking in the LRT (Light Rail Transit, aka - subway) which is the best place to busk in Etown during the long winter months. Something about the vibe down there appealed to me enough to try and recreate a feeling that was to me, an edmonton experience. thus, under ground. Not to say the songs have anything to do with busking, or with edmonton people in particular, but more so just the general idea of life underground. people bustling beneath the earth's crust, small fragments of conversation strolling by. roots music echoing beneath the city. strange sing-a-longs with a tie wearing business men and bearded homeless dudes. it's a strange scene down there, and you wouldn't see it if you were rushing from station to station. but to blend in with the scenery and watch and be be watched, it's a different story. i truly enjoy busking when the moment is right
and slightly off-tilt.
