Growing up in Indianapolis during the glory days of rock Butch once described Indianapolis as âa city halfway between the big city blues of Chicago and the country sounds of Kentucky.â He started playing guitar at age ten on the same 1972 Martin D28 that he still owns today and started writing songs in 2000.
Butch released his first CD (Swim Real Fast) in 2005 with positive reviews culminating with the title track being picked as one of Rolling Stone Magazineâs âPlaylist of the Dayâ on March 28, 2007.
His latest release â419 Northâ is an honest look at life from every angle. Butch Castetter rings true as weâre compelled to look at ourselves and see each other with each note and every word.
