David Tovar, a strong singer and virtuoso sax and flute player, has released his first solo CD, "Moved By Love." The CD features seven of his original compositions. Each of these songs is inspired by people in David's life that he esteems highly. His love for them has moved him to create this music.
David's CD has a definate international flavor. The lyrics. in two languages, are very romantic. "Ayumi" and "Sakura" have Japanese overtones in the lyrics as well as the music. The CD is a danceable mix of Latin and Rhythm & Blues styles, full of soul and passion. David is equally at home in driving version of Jr. Walker's "What Does It Take," as he is in the salsa "Chocolate O La Flor." A standout track is the showcase sax piece "Europa." This collection features highly crafted arrangements and some of LA's finest musicians.
