The Dingbots have created a groundbreaking rock opera in "Kidd Radar" -- a fun-filled sci-fi saga told in 20 songs and narration, studded with bizarre events, sexual exuberance, and adult wit. The full epic will unfold over five albums.

The Dingbots sound like the eccentric post-modern offspring of John Lennon and Abba, singing freaky lyrics to catchy hooks. Weâve been influenced by a variety of artists: Arcade Fire, Bjork, the Shins, Regina Spektor, the Beatles, Patti Smith, Abba, the Pet Shop Boys, Tchaikovsky. Kurt Weill, Richard Rodgers, and Captain Beefheart. We like to inject humor, sex and surreal deviance into our material.

The main characters of our rock opera are Kidd Radar and his girlfriend Ka. Kidd finds himself plunged into adventure when he is whisked away by a sexy robot girl in her UFO. Back on earth, Ka leads an underground rebellion against the dictator Dr. DNA, who wants to redesign the human race.

Our songs range over various genres -- alt rock, alt pop, poignant ballads, Europop dance beats, and bizarre novelties. We're very strict about song choice: it HAS to sound like a top-ten single, otherwise it doesn't get produced.

If you are a natural rebel, a wild libertine, a transgressive intellectual -- or if you have two heads -- you might want the Dingbots to land inside your cerebellum. For all you know, you might be a Dingbot yourself.
