Elam is Brian Yeager and Greg Gilmore.
Greg Gilmore is a long time fixture of the Seattle music scene. He was a member of pioneering bands Mother Love Bone, and Ten Minute Warning, and has recorded with numerous other projects. Over the past few years, Greg has honed his skills at the art of recording, and built his own studio aptly named, The Fort.
Brian Yeager moved to Seattle from Dallas, Texas in January, 2004. Before Seattle, Brian played with instrumental group US75, and Seymoure. Brian also lent his emotive song writing to film scores, scoring a handful of independent short films and two feature length films.
Brian and Greg met through mutual friends and quickly forged a musical partnership. The result is Elam; moody and thoughtful music with experimentation in songwriting, arranging, and instrumentation. Elam has released one E.P titled Daybreak Sleeper. It is in it's second pressing. Recording of new material for a future release is in progress. You can look forward to a lot of music from Elam.
