Forget the boss, forget the king, im the man to play and sing. Hi, this is Geoff Wakely and this all started 12 years ago in the summer of 95' when I wrote a song called Little Angels for the Childrens Hospice Charity Appeal. Myself, Bill Barclay (a radio DJ) and friends recorded this song which became a minor hit in Edinburgh much to the joy of the kids. This was my stepping stone for many more songs. With some local musicians, we put together a band called One Track Mind that went on to produce four cds, some of which you will find in jukeboxes in Edinburgh pubs! So as the saying goes A1 in the jukebox and nowhere in the charts. I like to air my new songs in a folk club in Edinburgh (although i am not a folk singer), just to see the reaction - that can be fun! I also like to busk in town (another way to air your songs) - but only when the weather is good. And if you know Scotland like I do you will know I dont busk that often. So treat your ears to this CD especially to 'I like to give you one' a must for all the new couples out there to break the ice. You won't find me playing up in Hollywood thats where all the rich people eat and you won't find me playing to her Majesty but you could find me playing in the corner of your street.
