"My Precious Life" is the debut album from London based songwriter, singer and producer Julian Hinton.
A collection of 16 tracks recorded between 2003 and 2006, this record comes from ten years of living and noticing, experiencing and engaging with life artistically in London.
Observing my thoughts and actions, and those of the people close to me, and not so close, has resulted in a collection of songs that has been such a journey to create in the studio, but one that is testament to the old artistic adage of getting up and doing the work! (And then letting it go.)
There was a time when I though I'd love to make an album and let all my lyrical thoughts spill out. The only thing that stopped me was my own head....Ha!
Musically, every song has a different personality and "My Precious Life" moves through different genres with a freedom reminiscent of the music of Sting, John Martyn and Paul Simon.
