Even a group that has been together as long as the Bullets can have disagreements. In this instance, the problem was what this album should be about. The arguement lasted for weeks until it was decided Dave and I would settle it mano-a-mano and fight it out until there was only one left standing. Then the winner could pick the direction of the album. So we went at it.
When I woke up in the hospital several days later, there was a big vase full of flowers and a note from Dave apologizing for almost killing me. To make up for all the damage he inflicted on me, he would let me make up the content of this album. Which once again proves why I have always tried to be a lover, not a fighter.
So, this album is made up of music designed for lovers. Each song is about someone we actually know. Music designed to take you from the barroom to the bedroom.
