Lowlander is the result of a lovechild between the Misfits, The Ramones, Guns N Roses, Weezer, Green Day, and The Stooges. This truly different, unique, fresh band fuses the best parts of pop punk, rock, and alternative into a distinctive sound that challenges any label or category. The heart and soul of Lowlander is to write original music to record and perform. Their hope is to continually gain the respect and interest from fans, peers, and colleagues, because they care about the people that listen to them!

All three members are West Virginia natives with Scottish roots. The members being Jim Courtney as lead vocals/drums; Kris Boynes as lead guitar; and Sean Boynes on rhythm and bass guitar. Although they have been together for a short time, Lowlander has gained some notority in the local and regional markets. Their debut album, "We Need To Talk," demonstrates the potential of a great band in the making.
