Malik was born and raised in Washington, D.C. Malik started performing at a very early age. His participation in family and friends gatherings were to sing prior to meals being served.
At age 15, Malik decided to pursue a career in the music industry. He formed the group, Corner Boys, and they performed in local events throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
Later, Malik created the former R&B group, Romantic Flavor, out of Washington, D.C. The group toured with ROU Productions. In 1993, they released their first CD entitled, âRomantic Times 4 IIâ. The songs, âCome On and Jacuzzi with Candlesâ on this CD was played by DJs, Donnie Simpson, DJ Flex and DJ Rico of the radio station, 95.5 WPGC FM.
For the past 12 years, Malik has performed and work with numerous artists. He is now pursuing a career as a soloist. Malik still enjoys writing and producing music for other artists. He has written over 500 songs.
Malik is an extremely talented artist and entrepreneur. He is the Founder and CEO of Triple 8 Records. In addition to writing songs, Malik has written three movies and eight jingles for soda commercials.
