Coming together in October 2005, Mouth Movements consists of the three original members (Travis Kammeyer, David Brown, Steve Gaskell) of the Knoxville, TN based indie rock band The Shape. The group has set aside the pop rock sounds they had made a name for themselves with to
compose a slower tempo, darker, and atmospheric rock sound. With the addition of guitarist Joe Armstrong, the band has brought yet another spectrum to the music.

Being credited with five national tours and 300+ shows as The Shape, and more recently, a three week east coast/midwest tour as Mouth Movements, the group plans on touring extensively in the near future. Mouth Movements began recording their debut LP entitled "This is the Way We Reform You" in August 2006 with a release date set for May 29 2007 on Missing Words Records. The group is currently booking a seven week national tour in support of the record.
