Inspired by groups that mix quality melodic songwriting with intelligent use of synthesizers for production. Nick Fieldson is a keyboardist/vocalist/songwriter and producer. "My teenage years happened to fall during the grunge phase". At the time, I really wasn't interested in grunge. I was just making some very good albeit, very late, discoveries in Thomas Dolby, Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk. These musicians showed me what direction I preffered to go with my own song creations. Prior to discovering them, I was simply a Beatles fan. I am currently employed at a Credit Union as a Financial/Loan Specialist and I have a part-time job playing piano pop songs in a local dinner club. I feel CD Baby is fantastic because it gives an outlet for a favored musical style. When playing at the dinner club, I am limited to pop classics ie; Bealtes, Billy Joel, etc. As always, people want to hear what they are most familiar with. At least at the dinner club anyway. CD Baby encourages individuality and an enviornment where people will buy your music because they chose to. As opposed to Top 40 radio helping to make that decison for them.
My first album, Enduro, seems to have an "Endurance" theme to it. Most of the songs are about challenges in life and love and how these challenges can be overcome.
