.Bill Christman formed his first band in 1963 at age 13. As a (product of the 60s) Bill absorbed the vast variety of music styles present, acquiring the necessary depths of skill to become a professional Bass player. By 1974 he had already toured and performed on stage with many of the famous artists which had initially inspired him to play, stemming a career of over 30 years that included recording on hit records and traveling nation wide with bands of his own. Also a lead vocalist, Bills style was influenced by 60s pop and British pop, however, the Soul / R&B music from Chicago, Memphis and Muscle Shoals have deep roots in Bills writing creativity. The tasteful use of horn sections in his music brings back the great sound of those old STAX Record grooves!

Walking away from the secular music business in 1992, Bill sensed that much of todays music is intentionally designed to corrupt and demoralize the youth of our great nation. As a Born Again Christian, Bill now records and performs music as a ministry to spread only the TRUTH as written in GODS WORD!! "TURN ON THE WORD" is a POWERHOUSE of Christian spirit and music!.
