The second President Gas album "Sound on Sound" features eleven new songs written and recorded over the last three years.
From the opener "Rain" through to the quietly powerful closing song "Long Way Home", this is an album of contrasts and surprises. "Darkness Falls" promises to be of those grower songs that will stay with you for a long time, and the acoustic ballad "Lost" might just haunt your dreams too.
Sound on Sound is literally that - the songs were built up from scratch in the studio over a period of time. The song Sound on Sound is a literal reference to the joys (and frustrations) of hiding away in a room, crafting songs that no one will hear. As the song says "...probably wasting my time, but it's all that I have"
President Gas lives, writes, performs and records in Wellington, New Zealand.
