BIO: Joe Lopez a.k.a. Psycho Joe CEO, President, Producer and Artist of Hazard Squad Productions While attending Estero High School, in Estero, Florida, Joe became popular because of the way he married his keyboard to the computer. Local talent would book time with Joe so that he could produce and record their music. Not too long after that, Joe started making his own beats and writing his own lyrics. Hazard Squad was formed when he and a few friends combined their musical talents and vocal abilities. Joe started out performing at high school events. In 2004, he was a member of the first opening act for the Lâil Flip and Lloyd concert that took place on August 1 at the Harborside Event Center in Fort Myers, Florida. Joe had the luxury of some one-on-one time with Lloyd, who was very gracious, complementary and down to earth. This event fueled excitement and Joe planned Hazard Squadâs own concert at the Three Oaks Banquet Center in Estero, Florida. Joe handled every aspect of the event: he booked the banquet center, planned all of the publicity, handled the ticket sales and arranged and wrote most of the performances. Unfortunately, Hurricane Charley prevented the concert from happening. Joe collaborated with Jael Rodriguez (aka Supreme) and they performed three songs off their album âArmageddonâ at the New York International Music Fest on November 18, 2004. The first track off the album (which the album is named after) was played on Orlando radio station FM 102 J A M Z on Friday, January 14, 2005. A significant amount of the teamâs time was dedicated to feverishly promoting the album. On March 4, 2005, Joe and Jael opened for Lâil Scrappy and Rated-R at the Harborside Event Center. J. Sanchez from Trakwerks, a New York based company, selected FLA We Donât Play off the album to represent the state of Florida on their mixed tape âDown These Mean Streetsâ, which was sold nationally (www.djb4.com). Joe realized one of his biggest dreams in August 2004 when he started the Recording Arts degree program at Full Sail in Winter Park, Florida. This program is an intensive audio education that covers every facet of music and audio production from tracking and overdubs to mixing and mastering (taken from Full Sailâs website). Joe graduated on September 2, 2005 and has a degree that will give him the education and credentials needed to succeed in the recording/music business. Joe realizes that success comes as a result of both talent and hard work. Joe hits the streets daily to promote his music and gain local recognition while holding down two jobs. He has met with local clubs and radio stations in order to take his music and business to the next level. Our music has been performed and/or played in the following venues: Bamboo, Spectators, Qâs, Stonyâs, FGCU, Tropical, Vinnyâs, Firestone (Orlando), Club I Drive (Orlando), Matrix (Orlando) and Metropolis (Orlando). Joe and his team have distributed thousands of copies of his recently released single Sen orita featuring legendary reggaeton artist DJ Tony Touch. In November 2006, he and Carly performed Sen orita on the DâLatinos morning show and appeared in their magazine. They also performed for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce outside of Germain Arena. This was the first time the Hazard Squad dancers got to show their stuff! In January 2007, Mango (a Sirius satellite radio station) played Senorita and Joe and was a featured artist on the show. Performances and opportunities have seemed to pour in for Joe and his squad headlining at Club Vinnys not once but twice for its Hip Hop Vs. Reggeatone Night. Joe was also a featured artist in "The Entertainer" a NewsPaper directed toward the urban community. Joe and his Squad was invited to perform in Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center at the "Street Dreams Tour and Carshow", other acts included, Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne, Birdman, Jim Jones, The Marley Family, and alot more. You can also keep an eye out for Hazard Squad performing at Viva Ft. Myers. the biggest anual latin festival in southwest Florida on March 24th. Joeâs solo album CERTIFIED PLATINUM, which is the best representation to date of his production skills and of the diversity of his music, dropped in December 2006. In between all of this, Joe also created a hip hop anthem entitled âWe The WolfPackâ for South Fort Myers High School, the only school in Lee County with its own anthem. Joe and his artist Truf performed this at the homecoming pep rally. Joeâs unique style is built on his life influences from his childhood years in the Bronx, his time spent growing up in Connecticut and Fort Myers, and the unforgettable experiences of living in Orlando while attending Full Sail.
