Details:
Organ Mosaic II is diverse program of organ music from the late seventeen century to the present day, performed on one of the finest organs, that modern organ building has produced: Hellmuth Wolffâs Op. 40 located in the generous acoustics of the Bales Organ Recital Hall on the University of Kansas campus in Lawrence, Kansas, USA. Sabin Levi not only plays the music of the seasoned organ composers on this recording, but also includes three of his organ compositions and his transcriptions of works by Antonio Soler, Claude Debussy and Johannes Brahms, which sound remarkably at home on the organ. Dr. Leviâs interpretation of these works couples his extensive musical knowledge with prodigious technique and poetic expression, yielding a recording that will move the listener to higher realms.
