Scinx has been making ultra-svelte, passion-infused music since the beginning of time - almost. After writing hundreds of songs, and recording 150 of those for personal entertainment and medication, Scinx decided to release some of the new music to the outside world.

Scinx first appeared on several various compilations.

In 2005, Scinx put out a limited release, 5-song EP, The Setting Sun EP which was distributed mostly in the Southwestern U.S.

In 2006, an energized and sharply focused Scinx returned to the studio and began recording new songs for the first full-length release, now titled Beautiful Prison.

Beautiful Prison features sweeping, blissfully crafted indie rock instrumentation/vocals (influences such as The Eels, Pinback, Nada Surf, Elliott Smith, and Spoon), married with a subtle backbone of alternative hip-hop production, by none other than Floyd "the Barber" Peppers. The album was mixed by the talented Mike Sawitzke (Elicit Studios), mastered by the renowned Brad Blackwood (Euphonic Masters) and manufactured in a state-of-the-art CD factory.

The CD comes with a twelve page lyrics booklet.

The disc is a very limited pressing. If you like the music or are feeling kind - it may be quite prudent to pick up a copy before they sell-out, as there are no plans for a repressing.

No suits were utilized in the making of this record.
