Recorded,mixed and mastered by Matt Miller and Sleep to Dream at Halifaxâs Liquid Digital Studios, âBreaking the Silenceâ is the culmination of the past year and a half spent on the road together, immersed in music.

No strangers to the stage, Sleep to Dream has captured their entrancing and huge live sound on their debut 'Breaking the Silenceâ. With comparisons ranging from Matthew Good to Incubus, The Smashing Pumpkins to Pink Floyd, âBreaking the Silenceâ offers up twelve original songs that carve the traditional face of rock into something uniquely its own. Whether its the four on the floor of the opener Wide Awake, the catch of the albumâs first single, Souvenir, the musical push and pull of 2:11, or the moving beauty of Faster Fastest, this album jumps from the gates and hooks like a magnet from the press of play!

With over 200 shows under their belt since forming in early 2006 Sleep to Dreamâs development has been fast and focused, and there is no desire to slow down now! Returning from their first central Canadian tour this May the band shot a video for the albumâs first single âSouvenirâ which will be released this July.
