The Round is a three-piece hard rock band from the innermost regions of mid-Michigan. Since forming in 2003, the band has played a large number of shows throughout Michigan and the surrounding area. In 2005 The Round released their self-produced, full-length debut, "CAPITAL" and promptly sold 300 copies through playing shows and word of mouth. In 2006, The Round retreated to Sentient Studio in Chicago to record an Ep titled "FEAR OF A ROUND PLANET", available May 22, 2007.

Several personnel changes have sharpened the band's talent and focus. The current roster has Mike Roland up front, laying out the foundation of The Round's sound: catchy, peculiar guitar work and distinctive vocal melodies that stand out. Jeremiah Gager sits in the back pounding out massive, rock-steady rhythms and radiating the pure, raw aggression that has become a trademark of The Round's live show. Finally, Noah Ford dances somewhere in the middle, sharpening the hooks and churning out low end like warm butter.

The Round has drawn comparisons ranging from a modern Nirvana and Primus on crack to a faster Queens Of The Stone Age and a heavier At The Drive-In. Labeling the band has proven difficult time and again. Combining elements of hard rock, pop, grunge, punk, metal, and a plethora of others, The Round introduced the world to a new genre of music: hypno rock. However the group is comfortable simply being labeled hard pop-rock.

The Round's goal now is to work towards playing bigger and better shows, expanding it's audience one lonely soul at a time, and burrowing into the hearts and minds of music fans worldwide to achieve personal realization and monetary success.
