Drummer, pianist, guitarist and singer/songwriter Bryan Wakeland, former Tripping Daisy drummer and current Polyphonic Spree drummer, has always had a passion for music. With the desire and devotion, he has come to create his first solo album, Honeyfire.

Bryan Wakeland grew up in DeSoto, Texas. Began playing the drums at the young age of 8. Music was flowing thru his veins. His flair wandered over to the piano at the age of 12 and at 14, music evolved into his soul and began writing songs and playing guitar.

While he was in Tripping Daisy, he played on the albums "Bill", "I am an Elastic Firecracker" and "Get it On" Live Album. Both Tripping Daisy and Polyphonic Spree have sent Wakeland all over the world, encountering many experiences that also influenced his writing. The Polyphonic Spree have released 3 albums and traveled all over the world. During the course of their touring and performances, the Spree have performed multiple times on Conan O'Brien, Jay Leno and Jimmy Kimmel. They also performed at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in 2005. Among other notable performances were the MTV VMA Awards, UK Hall of Fame and appearances on the TV series Scrubs and Las Vegas.

His new solo release, Honeyfire, definitely shows his talents in many areas. Not only does he play the drums on his album, he plays the piano, guitar, banjo, percussion and sings. Wakeland's interest in various genres of music, ranging from Johnny Cash and Gram Parsons to Elton John and Kiss has brought this unique sound to the album.
