Wendel Werner has been playing piano for over 30 years. The "Spiritual" album is his 5th solo album. In addition to playing, recording, and touring, he is also on the faculty of the University of Tennessee, where he directs the UT Singers (UT's jazz choir) and on the faculty of Walters State Community College where he is the director of the women's ensemble and the concert choir. He has had many of his choral arrangements and compositions performed through out the nation and is a member of ACDA (in which he is the state chairman for jazz choirs), IAJE, MENC, and CMS.
