With the recent release of his first full-length album Zachari Smith has moved into a mature songwriter and instrumentalist. His deep poetic sensabilities and strong political satire are coupled with an original voice and strong musical insight.
Zachari Smith's self-produced CD "Calling Out" exemplifies Smith's strong musical talents and poetic sense. Zachari Smith comes from a strong folk background of his father, Andrew Smith, while also adding the music of David Bazan, Mason Jennings, Hawksley Workman, Elliott Smith, and Radiohead.
In the summer of 2006 Zachari spent much of his time in SolarNest Arts Studio (Kelowna, BC). Smith produced the project along with playing all of the instruments. After many hours and months the project was finished and ready for mixing. The final project was released in December 06
