Anthonys Attic were formed in June 2003 by Tom Fenn, Dirk Schumacher and Martin Hau. To complete the lineup they recruited Mirja Brandenburg in 2004. Anthonys Attic played their first show in the spring of 2005 at The DeFacto Art Gallery in Luebeck. The performance was accompanied by weird videoclips shot by the band members. According to the exuberant reaction of the audience the idea was born to combine every live gig with a special videoshow. Sometimes Anthonys Attic are additionally supported by a flashy soap bubble machine and a talking store window doll.

In the winter of 2005 the band recorded its first album Headshell that was released on the Chocofilet label.
The latter was founded by Tom Fenn and Mirja Brandenburg to promote their music and videos in an entirely independent way.

During the next year Anthonys Attic performed at several clubs and art events. They also had a live gig on the local radio station Tide Radio.

In 2007 they released their second album Among The Tinhearts that garnered a glowing review by the Poprock Union â a virtual home for people who only like music that other people dont like:
