ROCK: Acoustic, POP: Today's Top 40

Details:
Born in Tiverton, RI, Brian Cincotta has been writing and recording music since his early teens. Influenced by the music of The Beatles and Billy Joel along with more recent artists the likes of Ben Folds and John Mayer, Brian has developed a brand of acoustic driven pop-rock that both echoes the songcraft of his idols and is uniquely his own.
A recent graduate of Boston University's College of Fine Arts, Brian was the winner of the 2003 "BU Idol" Competition, and the Massachusetts State Finalist for the 2005 "John Lennon Songwriting Scholarship" Contest. He has also performed and been featured on college radio stations throughout New England.
Brian's album "Wanna Race?" was recorded in June 2005 and has Brian both engineering and performing all vocal and instrumental tracks. With music representing a wide variety of genres from folk ("Holding On")to 80's pop ("Safe Side"), it is a collection showcasing Brian's diverse interests and growing musical maturity.
In the Fall, Brian will begin teaching 5th and 6th grade band and music classes on Boston's south shore.
