Overmedicated is the first collaborative effort by Lick Skillet, the pairing of singer-songwriter Mark Weierman and singer Danielle Kuntz. The EP features three of Mark's most recent compositions, traditional rockers Ain't Gettin' Any and Don't Wanna Follow You Down, plus the title tune Overmedicated, a full-tilt New Americana rave-up. Arranged to provide a vehicle for the creative contributions of the supporting instrumentalists, all three songs give dynamic space to the music behind lyrics tinged with wry social commentary, combining venerable stylistic form with contemporary feel and outlook. The disc appeals to young and seasoned listeners alike.

Besides the vocal efforts of Mark and Danielle, the disc also features outstanding performances by some of the Midwest's finest musicians, including the lead guitar work of Jeff Perholtz and drumming of Tim Siewert, both of The Newbees. The bass and keyboards are courtesy of Matt Parmenter of Medic, with Brian Ewing of Messerly and Ewing providing viola and banjo to the title track. Rhythm guitarists Michael Kuntz and James Weierman round out the ensemble.

Mark Weierman is a Cincinnati, Ohio based singer-songwriter. Songs from his 2001 full-lenth solo CD Owe the Devil have been featured on an ever growing list of cable television programs, such as multiple episodes of Cribs, Behind the Music, Taste of America, CMT Insider, Country's Greatest Moments, Biography A&E, Made in America and numerous others. He has also received international radio airplay, and, as a member of the original eclectic folk group The Ditch Lilies, was nominated for a CEA Award in 1999.

Danielle Kuntz is a Newport, Kentucky based singer. A true alto, she was a featured vocalist in Northern Kentucky Universityâs Chorale and Chamber Choir. She is known in the Northern Kentucky - Southern Ohio region as "The Voice of the CEAâs".
