Hello my name is Linton J. Smith Jr. I am a recording artist residing in the Columbia, SC area. I grew up in Augusta, GA. and was known there as Jerome Smith. I am a member of the South Carolina Arts Commission as a performing artist, and a member of the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce as a musician for hire. I released Friend, my second musical project on November 29, 2005. Friend is an easy gospel jazz experience that is therapeutic and relaxing, yet spiritually inspiring with vocals and instrumentals.

The God given clear and mellow voice of my wife, Louise M. James -Smith is another reason that makes the experience worth the listen.

I was educated and trained in the field of music at the following institutions, Kentucky State College in Frankfort, Kentucky, Augusta College in Augusta, Ga., and The Naval School of Music in Little Creek, Virginia.
