Band originally formed as a tribute to a lyricist, Tom Plaut, who died unexpectedly, leaving behind more than 170 song lyrics. These lyrics were compelling, deep, thought provoking and even prophetic. His friends, Phil Braun and Chris Zitani, who used to compose music for his lyrics became inspired to take a handful of his lyric sheets and turn them into some rockin' songs. They recruited Phil's brother Don and formed Not For Prophet. Phil and Chris both played and recorded with a number of other rock acts in previous years and were responsible for most of the instrumentation on this debut E.P.
